Spooky Candles

Candles happen to be one of the best lighting for Halloween! It sways with the wind, creating the flickering effect that adds to the spookiness. It’s orangy lighting simulates the ancient times where everything was lighted by torches. So, this build up the right Halloween atmosphere. Some of the ideas here doesn’t concern real candles. There won’t be actual fire involved. See it for yourself!

1. Blood Candles

The blood candle really gives the spooky feel that Halloween should have. There’s no real candle involved. Tea light candles are used instead. The entire thing is actually a platform to hold tea light candles made with cardboard tubes. Hot glue is used to create the dripping wax effect. A mix of dark and red paint will be sprayed on it for the nice visual. It’s light and portable so you can put it at the front porch if you want to.

2. Bleeding Candles

Bleeding candle is just what it is. Candles that bleeds! It’s also very easy to make it. You’ll need 2 types of candles: red colored candle and white colored candle. Light up the red one and drip the melted wax onto the white candle and you’re done!

3. Glowing Eye Candle Holder

You can pretty much figure this out at first glance. You just need to cut out the eye holes from old pictures of historical figures and put it inside a transparent glass. Then, use a tea light candle to give the lighting effect. You can add some painting job on the glassware as well. A slight dark hue will make all the difference!

4. Grim Candle Holder

The grim candle holder is one cheap idea to realize. Take a few bottles and upcycle them into candle holders. Paint the bottles with dark colors. Then, light up the candle. The dripping wax will add to the gloominess of the entire candle holder. Just be sure to use dark colored candles. Using normal white colored candles may not create the desired spooky effect that we want.

5. Monster Candle

Monster!!! Monsters take numerous forms. Even in candles! This monster is actually created with a hollow tube. It is covered with hot glue for the dripping wax effect and spray colored. Then, color some parts with white color for the highlight effect. The lights are actually tea light candles. You can cut the tube for the eyes and mouths. 6. Skull Candle Holder

There’s nothing more fearsome than to make a candle out of human skulls! This amazingly creepy candle holder can be made using 3 plastic skulls coated in dark paint. Saucer plates are used as the base and the top.

8. Hand Candle

9. Creepy Baby Heads

This candle holder requires the ultimate sacrifice of a few baby toy heads! It’s pretty obvious on how you can make this. Give it a creepy paint job, cut out an indentation on top for the candle and that’s about it. The difficulty is in the paint job. 10. Pumpkin Spider

Make a mix of cute and creepy with this weird pumpkin spider. The body is made of pumpkin. You’ll have to scoop it out from the top to make some space for the candle or tea light candles. The legs are made with dark colored pipe cleaners. Spray it with dark color if you have to. Glowing paint ain’t a bad idea too yeah?
