Easy Jack-O-Lantern Carvings Without Using Pumpkins

Jack-o-lanterns has become a Halloween tradition in such a way that it won’t be Halloween without it. In old tales, it is actually used to ward off evil spirits. Now, it’s an attractive night decoration that will hails the Halloween spirit. Using pumpkins to carve out Jack-o-lantern is a common tradition. Why not shake things up a bit using other food stuff besides pumpkin? Some make such fine food display on the dining table too!

1. Honey Dew

Honey dew! The exterior rough texture makes good addition to this monster!

2. Watermelon

Scoop out all the watermelon and make your refreshing shake. But, don’t throw the skin away. Turn it into a fascinating Jack-o-lantern display.

3. Bell Pepper

It’s actually a recipe called stuffed bell peppers. Makes a horrifying Halloween dish for your party!

A punk version of good old Jack-o-lantern. The pineapple top makes a gorgeous hair for your Jacks.

Most of the ideas here uses either the skin of the food or the whole thing as an edible presentation of Jack-o-lantern. That’s actually what we want. We don’t want to waste food at all just for the sake of decoration. Also, there’s actually a lot more foods that can be cut like cucumbers and carrots.
