Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Smelly Feet

1. DIY Tea Tree Oil Spray

But, did you know that it is also used as deodorizer, laundry freshener and cleaning agent? That’s more reason for you to stock one of this essential oil in your home!

  1. Mix 2 ounces (about 60 ml) of vodka/rubbing alcohol with 4 drops of tea tree oil in a spray bottle.
  2. Shake it well.
  3. Spray on your feet and rub it around.

2. Vinegar Foot Soak

The acid kills by denaturing the protein that constitutes these bacteria. What makes this a great ingredient to get rid of smelly feet is that it is cheap, biodegradable and easy to find.

  1. Mix half a cup (125 ml) of vinegar with 8 cups of warm water in a basin.

4. Listerine Foot Soak

  1. Mix 1/4 cup of Listerine with 1/2 cup of water in a basin.
  2. Immerse your feet in it for about 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse the feet with warm water afterwards.

5. Table Salt Soak

This is one of the most common item found in each household. Salt works well to kill off bacteria by drawing water out of the them. Without water, the chemical reaction that they need to survive will stop and this spells their demise. Another option of salt to use is the Epsom salt. This salt is often used for medicinal and bathing purposes. Note that it should not be eaten. Epsom salt bath can increase magnesium level in the body, lower blood pressure, relieve stress, reduce severity of diabetes and ease migraine. Those are just some of the benefits this amazing salt.

  1. Dissolve 1/2 cup of salt in 8 cups of water.
  2. Soak for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Repeat twice a day.

6. Rubbing Alcohol

7. Turmeric Powder

Turmeric has strong antimicrobial properties which makes it a natural disinfectant. You can easily find it in your local grocery store. Its powdery form allows you to easily mix it into a paste for our purpose.

  1. Mix some turmeric powder with a little water to form a paste.
