Stunning Pumpkin Decor For The Fall

The beginning of autumn is also the beginning of Halloween. People here and there have been talking non-stop about decors. And when it comes to decor, Halloween will never be complete without pumpkins! Carved pumpkins is a must. As a matter a fact, pumpkin carving contest has become an annual event almost everywhere. But, we’re not going for something extreme like that. We’re going for something homely – something that you can put at the front porch and be proud of it.

1. Pumpkin Lantern

A bunch of these will look great as it illuminates the window in the night. The pumpkins’ inside are scooped out to allow space for battery powered pillar candles. Patterned holes can be drilled throughout the pumpkin to allow the light to shine out. You can carve out different patterns however you like.

2. Pumpkin Succulent

Pumpkin succulents are gorgeous! Moss is glued to the surface of the pumpkin to create a layer for the succulents. Then, the succulent cuttings are glued onto the moss. There’s no damage done to the pumpkin so it’s still probably safe to eat after a while.

3. Fairy Light Pumpkin

It’s still too early for Christmas but that doesn’t mean you can’t take out the fairy lights from your store room for this.

4. Bonfire Pumpkins

Pumpkins too make great bonfire! Well, sort of. Gut the pumpkins and carve out fire shape around them. Be sure not to damage the stalk because you’ll need it. Put votive candles inside every pumpkin for a nice glowing effect.

Turn a normal pumpkin into a festive candle holder. The indentation can be easily carved out to fit a candle. This will light up the house nicely for the festival.

You can cut off the top to fit a longer candle. While you’re at it, stuff other plant decors at the base to make it even prettier. Light up the dinner table with these! It gets everyone into the festive mood nicely.

Pumpkins are non-porous and can hold water. Fill it with water and put on some floating candles in it. Use scented candles with relaxing aroma. It makes a nice centerpiece on the table. Putting it outside the house is fine as well. The pumpkin can shield the candles from strong wind. Your visitors will be pleased with this presentation.

Create a tiny spooky landscape inside your pumpkin and light it up with battery operated LED lights. This is probably one of the greatest project you can do with your kids. Be careful not to put them on display outside. People might steal it!

9. Glow In The Dark Pumpkins

If carving is not your cup of tea, worry not. There’s other way to get into the hype of pumpkin decor. You don’t need to be crafty for this creation as well. First, you need to cut out a circle from a piece of clear contact paper. After that, paste it onto the pumpkin. Then, glow in dark spray is used to coat the exposed pumpkin layer. The wolf image on the pumpkin is actually a piece of paper. It is attached to the surface with adhesive tape and, you’re done!

10. Floating Pumpkin

Putting pumpkins on the ground is too common. Why not try something different? This pumpkin is suspended by a cable that goes from top to its bottom. It is secured that way so it doesn’t sway with the wind. The cable will be visible on broad day light. But at night, it gives the illusion as if the pumpkin is floating.
