How To Serve Watermelon At A Party

Give way to the number 1 most consumed melon in the United States! Watermelon is 92% water making it one of the best fruit to eat for summer. As in all fruits, watermelon is beneficial to health in various ways. It can lower blood sugar level, prevent age-related cardiac problems, washing out the toxic depositions in the kidney and stimulating increased blood flow.

Watermelon is perfect to be eaten just like that. But how to serve watermelon at a party with creative ways ? It will make its consumption much more enjoyable. Your kids and guests will love it!

1. Watermelon Pops

One does not simply look at food presentation lightly! Simply by sticking a used or new popsicle stick into the watermelon, will leave your kids drooling before they even taste it! This presentation involves cutting the main body of the watermelon into a ring. Then, slice them out like pizza before putting the sticks in. Simple yet wonderful!

French fries anyone? This is another simple way of cutting your watermelon and with a twist. Yes, a dipper!  The dipper can be made using a mix of vanilla extract, sour cream and sweetener. If you have a better dipper recipe, share it with everyone in the comments below!

Watch out! It’s a pig! Art takes many forms. Even in watermelons! This magnificent pig is made entirely of watermelon. The insides are scraped out to make a bowl. As for the ears, limbs and nose is made of the remains of the watermelon rind. The eyes could be carved on the melon but for this art, blueberries are used instead. If you’re having a party, this piggy will make a great addition to the dining table.

Who’s ready for a melon salad? Melons can be cut into cubes. This shape generally allows a harmonious combination with other fruits that has been cut into same shape as well. While the body part is the rearranged triangular shape of watermelon slices. A lot more effort may be required to create this but looking at the face of your loved ones as they gasp in admiration makes it all worth it!

If you’re tired of cutting watermelon, you could just slide them out. Easy peasy. Or is it? This incredible illusion is brought to you by Youtuber, Mark Rober. Actually, two watermelons similar in size are required to create this illusion. The first one will be skinned, leaving only the flesh. The second one will be cut in half and have it’s flesh scooped out, leaving only the skin. At this point, you should get the idea. Smart right?

10. Watermelon Cups

Sally has created this amazing dessert by combining fruit and cheese together. The watermelon is cut and hollowed to create space for the goat cheese. Now, the watermelon doesn’t have to be cylinder in shape. It can be square which we think is easier to cut. The filling is where our creativity comes into play. In her recipe, she uses goat cheese and garnished with a thin slice of cucumber. But, we could replace the goat cheese with a scoop of ice cream or anything that matches well with the watermelon.

11. Watermelon Keg

In the process of making Watermelon Cups or Watermelon Cubes or Watermelon Mountain, there’s bound to have watermelon flesh left. Don’t waste them! Blend  them and fill it into the watermelon keg.
