Useful Kitchen Organization Hacks

A house becomes a home when there’s special people that makes it all warm and cozy. And, this is particularly true when there’s someone in the house that cooks warm and tasty food with a little pinch of love. The kitchen is where this magic happens. In this list, we will be exploring some nice kitchen organizing ideas to make full use of the kitchen space. If you have a small kitchen, try below kitchen organization ideas. 1. Shelves

You can never go wrong by installing shelves on an empty wall. Stock up your jars of grains, canned food and other miscellaneous food items on the shelf. It is advisable to place items that is frequently used and easily perishable on these shelves. That way, you will always be reminded to consume them before time does. You can even put labels on the jar with the expiry date.

2. Side Cabinet

The kitchen drawer is usually the place for our utensils such as spatula, food clipper and grate. But, there is another spot that we never think of using and that’s the side of the cabinet. Install a few hooks along the side of the cabinet and we will have a nice storage space for our cooking utensils. You can probably put a towel underneath to absorb the dripping water right after a wash. That’s a tip for the lazy people out there.

3. Pegboards And Hooks

The wall space near the door is often left empty because we wouldn’t want anything to get in the way as we close it. This is where a pegboard comes in. It is slimmer than shelves, so it doesn’t really get in the way. You can hang just about anything by hooking them onto this pegboard. It also provides full visibility of all the tools you need for easy access.

4. Shoe Organizer Behind Door

Use a shoe organizer to put your food items such as snacks, garlic and onions. Remember to pick the transparent type so that you can see what’s in each pocket. Ideally you can hang this out on any empty walls other than the back of the door.

The idea above shows the use of the gap space between the fridge and the wall. But, it really depends on how we arrange our kitchen. We can apply the same idea between cabinets. Do note that the side of the fridge is usually warm. So, it may not be good to have certain food stuff placed near it.

11. Multipurpose Shelf

If you like minimalism, you can craft your own customized shelf for your needs. The idea above seems like something for a drinking station.  In this idea, the jar lids are secured under the shelf but we think that might not be convenient considering that most jar lids will rust in time unless it’s stainless steel. So, you might have to change it after some time. But hey, that’s entirely up to your creativity.
